A Florida Proposal Story

I’m pretty sure the dogs knew what was going on. Even Michelle said that as she was leaving her home it was like they knew. I waited with Michelle at the end of the pier (amongst a gaggle of dogs decked out with the cutest chalkboard signs!). Each pup played an important role of in this Florida Proposal Story. They would be delivering those magic words…Will..you..marry me?

The plan was to let the dogs deliver the message. Brilliant! Aleni as a tad later than we expected but the pups did an amazing job waiting. Well.. there may have been a few tangles. Finally we saw Aleni walking down the pier. I posed as a tourist taking pictures and Michelle huddled down low with the dogs, ready to pop up as Aleni rounded the corner.

Off they went! Three dogs, well two running, and one being carried made their way to the very confused Aleni. Michelle drop to her knee and in a most wonderful tangle of animals she said those words. I probably don’t have to tell you that Aleni said yes!

Michelle and Aleni were so much fun to be around. Their love is infectious. I hung out with them until the sun went down and sent them off to celebrate this next step!
