Hands down this wedding remains one of my favorites of 2014! We never meet face to face but clicked instantly. Jason and Ema exude energy, love, passion and enthusiasm. They approach life with a kind of gusto that left me exhilarated. I was truly honored to be asked to photograph their wedding at the stunningly beautiful Bok Tower Gardens in Orlando.
While Jason and Ema truly wanted to share this moment, this perfect day, with their family and friends, it just wasn’t possible. Ema’s family was in England. So they decided to keep it intimate just between them (and well….me). Both are entertainers on a popular cruise line. A dancer and a singer.. the perfect duo.
Everything was perfect.. a gorgeous (although hot) day. Ema’s gown was actually a gift from Jason during their first year together. While, sad that their families could not join them, a little face-timing with her sister in England kept Ema grounded as she got ready. It really felt that everyone was there in spirit. In fact, after the ceremony, Ema’s Mum arranged (from across the Atlantic) for a bottle of champagne to be popped. A most excellent surprise! Then off to explore the gardens and take photographs via golf cart!
The ceremony was beautiful, intimate and so emotional (yes, I cried). I am always so honored when I am allowed to photograph these events. It takes a great deal of trust to bring a stranger into the folds of your most precious day. Great adventures lie ahead for these two! It was an honor and my pleasure to be part of their day. So I raise a glass of bubbly to Jason and Ema and wish them all the best! Cheers!
