Sunrise Engagement

Let’s face it. Morning is not for everyone. But can I just say.. it is so worth setting that alarm, gulping down the coffee and heading out the door to photograph a sunrise engagement! Easy for me to say ..right? I don’t have to worry about my makeup, hair and a cute outfit!

Alex and Thomas, however, were totally motivated to rise and shine in the wee hours of the morning! They were grandly rewarded with an amazing Central Florida sunrise on Melbourne Beach! They choose to bring their adorable pup with them for some of the pictures.

I love how the light changes in the morning. How parting clouds can suddenly reveal a blazing hot sun and then just as quickly move back into place and cast a soft warm glow on the beach. This changing light, not only is beautiful, but provides natural variety in your images.

Another benefit of photographing at sunrise is that the beach is usually empty. The solitude really helps for couples to connect with each other without the watchful eyes of people on the beach. Just remember to set that alarm clock and don’t oversleep! Once your session is over you have the entire day ahead of you!

I love the beach in the early morning. Just the beautiful light, soft waves and your love.
